Israel-France International Research Network – OMNI-TOOLS - Call for collaborative bilateral projects 2024
The goal of the new OMNI-TOOLS bilateral action is to push forward fundamental aspects of optical technologies (sources, detectors and light-matter interactions) along with latest developments in imaging instrumentation, and to bring them to applications (including in biomedical imaging).
This call aims at funding new or existing collaborations within this framework between French and Israeli groups, through the exchange of students. Although a direct biomedical application is not a strict requirement, the project should still be clearly involved in the global project of this initiative. The goal of these grants is to establish solid collaborations, supported by joint publications.
Guidelines:
Applications should include at least one academic partner from France (with CNRS affiliation) and one academic partner from Israel (Weizmann Institute, Tel Aviv University, Bar Ilan University, Hebrew University in Jerusalem).
Applications should present the scientific project (within 2 pages), how it aligns with the OMNI-TOOLS project, and show the added value of the French and Israeli groups.
Applications should also include a short budget (up to 5k€/$), detailing travel and running costs. Master trainee gratifications are eligible but PhD/PostDoc/Associate Researcher salaries are excluded for the French groups.
Please note that only expenses before 31.12.2024 will be eligible. Recipients will have to attend the first OMNI-TOOLS workshop to be held in France in 2025.
Evaluations will be based on scientific excellence and added value to France-Israel bilateral scientific interactions.
